Forever

by Darci   Sep 22, 2007

The lightning flickers outside
like thoughts running in my head;
a lightbulb in a chandelier
begining to go dead

The sun sinking below the horizon
slowly fading from sight
The air all around turns cold
The sky no longer bright.

The sky fills with stars;
a faint light on the ground
fireflies signal to ones nearby
all this, without a sound

I look at the full moon
wishing memories of you away
I'm lost in a sea of confusion
my mind has gone astray

Your touch will always haunt me
your voice sings me to sleep.
Your eyes burn my very soul
My heart you'll forever keep.
