Haven

by Neme juste un jouet   Sep 25, 2007

Breeze that washes over face
You close your eyes and smell
smell the dried details of the land
and you know this is you place

You open eyes to a ledge and an endless waste
you take a step forward to tempt fate
Faith faith
within yourself,
you know that this is your haven and only yours
and your story here will end as you please

You turn away from endless sands
and look at the faces that beseech you
"Where have you gone,
Where have you been?"
To run you mutter
to run from them
so no longer could you they destroy
so no longer could you be thrown away
safer safer
farther out
with none of their gazes finding you with ease

And you back into waste,
haven haven
sweet embrace
