The cries of his betrothed

The knight looked out over the abounding mass of warriors that surrounded him and his men. He fell to his knees as all hope left his body and made a quick exit from his body. His breathes became deeper and made it harder to breathe as he discovered that not only had he lost his pride but was about to lose his life and that of this men. He bowed his head down in defeat but lifted it again to a sound, the sound of a women, a women whom knew that this was the end of her beloved knight. The knight lifted his head to see the fair maiden to whom he was betrothed to, sobbing at his feet. As her tears fell and turned the hard dust beneath to mud, he realized that he was leaving so much more behind. To his surprise to the womens side he saw two young boys, that were knelt down holding back tears. His sons, Mark and Adam. He turned to his men, whom were too afraid to look back. They were totally out numbered by the opposition, but in his heart he new that his family would too perish if he did not stand and fight. So he stood to his feet and started the biggest battle , this world would ever see. He perished at the blade of their leader but his death was not in vein. His army defeated the opposing knights and bought Honor back to to their kingdom. The loss of his live was minor compared to the lives saved and the love gained by his men. That kingdom now is a peaceful place and his sons are now kings ,but this was all made possible from the bravery of a night and the cries of a women. And as his widow wept, she new that her children were saved by the bravery, courageousness and love, given from her night in shining armor.
