My First Time

The first time I touched you,
That is something I will never forget,
Sitting in your jeep, just 6 months after we met.
What I had told you the night before,
Something that made you think I wanted more.
After work, you met me at the park,
It was getting late, soon it would be dark.
I told you I was in love with someone,
Yet I couldn't say it was you.
Too bad, you already knew.
I left you speechless, for once in your life.
And after the shock passed,
You kissed me gently, how I prayed it would last.
That was almost two years ago,
I remember it like yesterday.
The brave look in your eyes,
As you whisper, "It's okay"
And I begin to cry.
