Solace

by Beautiful Chaos   Sep 29, 2007

Though to some the quest is impossible,
I shall find you in the dark,
Digging through the madness,
Lost in moments of delusion,
Your spirit calls to me,
Echoing through the shadow,
I weave my way through this maze,
Never do I know fear,
I have consumed myself,
Eating my panic,
Consuming my self doubt,
Cleaning my plate of indifference,
Until there is nothing left,
Only compassion and empathy,
Which drive me forth,
Though my eyes can not see,
My mind has become light,
It draws me to you,
This craving for solace,
It permeates from every pore,
I shall soothe you friend,
The darkness shall never take us.

I love this, absoultely felt drawn to this piece. When I read through it a second time, I noticed there were some grammar mistakes, I think it would flow a tad better if you ended some lines with a period instead of a comma, but I was so taken away with this poem that I didn`t even notice it the first time, nor does it matter giving the strength of this. Great job.
