First poem... to someone special

I think back to the past sometimes,
even if its not what I want to see.
But then I think of what we have become,
and those devastating thoughts leave.

I never meant to hurt you,
It was me who was confused.
You were the better person,
Someone I didn't want to lose.

I messed up everything, and I want to apoligize.
I'm sorry for everything I cover up and hide.
I'm sorry for those nights when all I did was lie.
I'm sorry for the times I made your heart die.
I'm sorry that I made your handsome green eyes cry.
