I Do

by Maren L Johnson   Oct 1, 2007

If I kiss you will you still love me in the morning?

And I hold you, love you, have you at your end, will you still love me in the morning?

If I spend sleepless nights tossing and turning because the thought of you steals sleep and I call you at five in the morning professing my undying love, will you think I'm a crazy person or simply just the morning type?

If I call your workplace every hour on the hour just to hear your voice, will you think me clingy or will you perceive my actions to be unprecedented?

If I allow you to have your way with me and take the first fine wine, will you still love me in the morning?

How about when I forget you hate public displays of affection and I greet you with a kiss, will you still love me tomorrow?

When I invite the father you haven't had a conversation with in years to our wedding and he sits in the front beaming from ear to ear, will you still love me?

When I aggravate the hell out of you and you feel like I just don't understand what you need and want. Will you still love me in the morning?

Well if you're really sure and I mean really sure then with that I say
I do.
