A Lullaby Of Love

by A Victim of Fate   Oct 3, 2007

Listen, dear child, to Sissie's lullaby
Dance on pink clouds, dream sweet dreams
Ignore Mommy's desperate cry
Ignore Daddy's screams
Dream of things out of a picture book
Of how they act and how they look
Don't listen to the banging on the door
You don't need to hear it anymore
I will be here, so go to sleep
You are safe and in my keep
Be warm under all the love and hope
I will send all I can cope
Don't listen or feel the smashing of glass
Ignore Daddy's cursing
As I break the window to get pass
Imagine dancers rehearsing
Don't feel the bite of cold as I run
Dream of all the happy tales I have spun
We will go somewhere else and live
Let me protect you from a world of strife
I will give you all I have to give
I love you Little sister more than life
