Escape

by Jason   Oct 5, 2007

Where to place the blame
Of uncertainty and pain
Always ready to complain
Conceiving upon a soul distain
Looking for a space
A shadow to erase
An earlier decision made
Taking one foot from the grave
To narrowly escape
A life changing fate
Guardian Angel by my side
A black cat out of lives
Unable to recognize
The changes of the tides
And the messages sent
An interpretation bent
If the lessons that we share
Would make us more aware
Then these problems of generations past
Would be history's next class
What would really be the best
Is if those things placed above the rest
Were not the only things we saw
In our emotional withdraw
