I Scared Him

Taste it...

The sun sets quietly,
A day almost over.
So why am I,
The one who is,
Endlessly crying?

Hear it...

He held me today,
Eating away,
At my heart.
Relishing my pain.

Feel it...

Fishing through secrets,
Each word a thought,
Each thought a dream.
Listening.

Say it...

Somehow, his warm breath,
And arms, oh, how they hold me!
Yield emptily as I cry.

See it...

Somehow, I thought,
Everything would be okay.
Except... I scared him away.
