Death by a Brother's Hand

by Johnnys Medicine   Oct 8, 2007

The day was dark,
Dark like the night
The night was just as black
That didn't stop the war
Obliterating the innocent
As demons rode horses of flame
Across the blood-red sky
The war rode on iron spikes and shields
The warriors all ran against each other
On the field of battle
They don't even know each other
Why is this
Why is it
That these strangers to each other
Have to destroy and snuff out the light from their eyes
Black crows circle around the sky
Looking for the dead, bloody carcasses of the innocent
While Satan himself
Collects the souls of the dammed
Mothers crouch in the dark corners or alleys hiding from the carnage
Hiding their children from the darkness
No one knows what evil resides
In the darkness in front of their eyes
Instead they destroy each other
For lack of knowledge
In the midst of confusion.
