Desperation clouds my mind
A little piece of hope
Is all I want to find
Is that so hard?

This fleeting image-what could be
Tears a hole
And rips at me
Why is that so hard?

A planned life for two
A happy home
Just me and you
Is that so hard?

I want to be your hero
Be by your side
But on my cheek this tear-oh
Why is it so goddamn hard?
