Let's Borrow Love Tonight

by dandy   Oct 15, 2007

Can't really find what I'm looking for,
can't find two arms to hold
my pitifully frail body,
unhappy and so cold.

You seem to be kind hearted,
just what I'm looking for.
That's why I've opened up again,
even though my heart's still sore.

I know it's not truly me you want,
another is in your sight.
But since you've made this move,
I guess we're borrowing love tonight.

It's fickle and unfair because
I know I'll end up hurt.
But now that things have gone this far
I'm finding it difficult to revert.

It's neither real nor lasting,
not true, caring, or fair.
But with a touch or simple word
you always keep me there.

So even though I know it's wrong,
lets borrow love tonight.
In your arms, if only for a moment,
I briefly feel alright.
