Hide and Seek

by Romancing the Darker Side   Oct 21, 2007

Eclipsed from the warm sun,
She cries the tears of death.
Pacing from shadow to shadow,
She shall have no true home.

"Let's play a little game,"
So she told the glowing light.
Creeping through darkness,
She plays hide and seek with life.

She counts to ten in her head,
Before she seeks to find
The only beauty in her life.
Elusive though it may seem.

She counts the hours until
She makes a stunning realization:
Walk in the dark, you'll have no shadow.
And play hide and seek with life.

    Eclipsed from the warm sun,
