Oh What A Solemn Vow

by oddi tea   Oct 23, 2007

The sultry ringing
Little children singing
Oh what a glorious day
For love, a bringing

The choir stops
The organ's props
Oh beautiful
Is the bride who walks

Prayers are said
The sermon fed
Oh the happiness
The flowers red

Sprinkling them there
There is everything to fear
Oh a wonderful life
Soon comes near

The groom now arrives
With all his friend's wives
Oh never more
To say those horrid lies

Speaking now
Of all the if's and how
Oh just waiting for the day
To make that solemn vow
