Disowned by love

by Kathryn H   May 7, 2004

Love has left me a bad taste.
Faith has left me breathless.
Love has left me thinking.
You were breathtaking.
I enjoyed breathing you in. I loved seeking you in.
Loved your sweet kisses that were worthwhile.
Now you are senseless.
I thought you would care
Love was alive and tender
All I asked was for compassion in return
Now we can't go back again
Love won't fly tonight
I am wondering why love won?t take me by flight
I tried to hold onto you tight
But what you wanted was tense
You left onto what was once love
Or was it all just pretend?
I have opened by blood shot eyes into prurient light
I have to close my door and have you gone
Love is nonexistent
You don't know what is a flaw or real
Our love was surreal
Now it's my turn to spin the wheel
I am tired of sweeping up what was once left
My love has disappeared
I have been vanished and slipped away
I am disowned by love
Rejected and thrown out into the cold
