Mother's Gift

by Lovelon Rules   Oct 26, 2007

Dark shadows over amber mountains
Create forms of divine beauty
So slender is Mother Nature's hand
Gracefully touching her minions
Sweet rain fills the rivers, lakes
Blesses the cascading waterfalls
And all Mother's children smile
As the blue moon wraps its arm
Around the shivering child
Lovely sounds of small animals
And life free of pestilence
Though they sleep, all is restless
With the contentment of the hour
And as the sun raises its head
Sleepy from the wearies of ugly mankind
Nature lifts it from the bowels of earth
Lets it resurrect another day and shine
For without Mother, there is nothing
But futile technology and angry man
With the blossoms, snow, and open land though
Life continues again
