I ran away from the heartache

When you lost a loved one
I said I loved you
Loved you and supported you
But now that you're gone
I can't say I LOVE YOU

    i thought this poem should have been longer, it worked well in the few lines that you wrote and the repetition of the words i love you really build its structure
