Army man protect us form the worst to come,
Army man i hope yup miss me!
You are so brave,
You are so smart,
You come from the heart,
You grew up so fast,
You are so sweet and tough,
I miss you,
We all miss you,
I see you in my dreams,
I know your protecting us and the world,
I know you know we don't like the war,
I know you know we want you back home with mom, dad and,
and the rest of the gang,
so where ever you are just know we miss you son, brother and friend,
but most of all your her little army man!

I love my brother the army guy,
even though he isn't by my side,
every time i go outside,
i swear i see him standing right there,
i swear i breathe the same air with him,
i look down and say a little prayer,
now when you read this don't cry,
because right now as i look into the sky,
i swear i see my brother the army guy,
and if you to look up to wards the stars i bet you'll see me,
drying my wet eye!
A SOLDIER IN GREEN!
"Momma i want to be a soldier in green" he said,
your little boy grew up and did just as he said,
he became a soldier, a leader of his platoon,
you reserved a postcard from him just the other day,
it said.... mama i miss you but I'm OK...",
tears clouded your vision as you read on.
"it's awfully loud over here, my best friend was shot killed,
mama i miss you but I'll be home soon!",
the young soldier didn't make it home,
on the day before leaving, he was gunned down,
and you say that every now and then you still hear him,
marching around the house saying,
" i wanna be an American soldier, a soldier in green!"
