I am alone.....
The night brings solace
if only for the hope
of sweet sleep
and a brief respite
from the unfulfilled need to
hold you and
have you as my own.
As I wait for light to disappear
I lay here....
thoughts of you crowding out the
sleep that begs my eyes to
love the dark.
They do not.
Hopeless - you are too much within me.
My body,
my soul
my mind
they are useless to me now.
