These butterflies

There he is
walking down the hallway
he looks her way but
she cant find the words
she needs to say
she wants to look into
those beautiful eyes
but every time she does
she gets
these butterflies

weeks go past
how long will this last
no one knows for sure
no one except her

hes always on her mind
in her every thought
when she goes to sleep
hes even there when
she wakes up

and hes in her dreams
practically every night'
for her the future isnt
looking to bright

shes so crazy about him
its changing the way shes acting
her dad yells at her and calls
her a witch
it wasnt supposed to be like this

she finally gets up the courage
to ask him out
she asks her dad to please
dont shout

but its like hes not even listening
