Holding On

I was holding on for way to long
So i know that it must be wrong.

I know that we're not meant to be,
Yet I still want it to be you and me.

I'll hold on to this dream forever,
even though I know it won't get better.

When I see you,
I don't know what to do,
Though at times,
I want to say,
"I love you".

When you speak to me at any time of the day,
I can't find the right words to say.

When you stare at me with those light-blue eyes,*
They're one of a kind,
Not like another guy's,

Now you've read this poem cant you see?
That we were always meant to be.
