Eclipse

by Robert   Nov 10, 2007

A thought clenched by an evening breeze,
Entangled and captured as I breathe.
Turbulent rings of fire crunch: they devour,
Squander and seethe within the hour.

I know no longer whom to believe,
Dreams bedevil my cognisance as they deceive,
Cheat and envelop restraining my power.
One last try, only to turn me sour.

Eerie shadows descend upon the twilight,
The eclipse on a blue moon extirpates my sight.
A static, humble soul benumbed by umbrae,
Blown away, the zephyr lets out a sigh.

Surging upon the shore, comber contrite.
Paint and ink run, turning into black mist night,
No one will attest, for it prevails in your eye,
It’s only a lifetime staring up at the sky.

Wow. I'm speechless. This is an incredible piece, such amazing imagery and vivd description, I feel like I'm there, it's beautiful.

If you're not in a poetry club, join one. This amazing talent needs to be recognised!!

This gets a five from me, it's incredible. I would suggest just editing out the strange characters on the last line and replacing them with an apostrophe.

    5/5 *claps*

    Keep writing,
    Emily :)
