Today will be a better day

The green grass
Beautiful sunshine
So was her smile.
Love was in the air.

I took it all in one step
at a time.
The world around me was
changing. It was my 18th
birthday, I could care less
about grey.

There was this freedom
a new dawn had begun.
My world had come.
If only I knew time
had it's own plan.

All of lifes lessons
taught only one.
I was still young,
too young to know
yet too young to grow.
I was loved and had time
left to understand.

    Good job on this piece. Funny how we are in such a hurry to turn 18 and take on the world.

    Love this stanza. Things never turn out the way we have planned. Good job ob this. Makes you stop and think about life.
