The Last Vampires

by A Victim of Fate   Nov 16, 2007

She stands there on the hill,
Wishing these wounds would seal,
But she knows the darkness has won.
Once more will she see the light of the sun,
Pink tears fall from glowing green eyes,
All alone she'll stand where she dies.
The metallic taste of blood still fresh on her tongue,
She's alive but not a breath of air enters her lung,
No more does she want to live.
She has given all she has to give,
But a voice enters her mind,
The familiar voice filled of care and kind.
It's her master telling her to come back,
But common sense is something lack,
She feels him behind her, eyes staring.
She doesn't give a darn, she's done caring,
He walks forward and holds her hand,
He says simply,"Together we fall, together we stand."
She looks at him and him at her,
Together they fell for the age old lure,
Hugging eachother they burst into flame.
Together they're love is something untame,
One last sunset before they die,
Eachother in hand they no longer cry.
