Everytime My Friends See Me, They Think I've Got It Easy.

by emily   Nov 19, 2007

Every time that my friends see me,
They think that I got it easy.
They think that I’ve got it all.
But they don’t realize how hard I fall.

How little do they realize.
They only know me,
From what they see through their eyes.
But not everything is what you see.

They think I’ve got nothing wrong.
That my life is just perfect.
It’s only because,
I try not to let it reflect.

I take a deep breath,
As I step into school.
I put on a big smile,
Hopeing that everyone will be fooled.

A minute of being there.
I hear her calling me names.
The red-haired girl that I hate.
That brings my heart pains.

I just want to scream and shout!
But what will that do?
Nobody cares without a doubt.
I’m invisible, my pain is see-through.

I get off the bus and start walking home.
I pause at the door, not wanting to go in,
I can’t face them, I just want to be alone.
I can’t go in there without a grin.

I just want to be happy,
I just want this all to go away.
I want people to stop judging me,
In life, I wish I had a say.

Wow Emily, this poem was just WOWOWOW ... It just touched me and i realised that i can relate too. Since i live in a small town, everyone teases everyone but when other people are around they act nice.

    My favourtite stanza was:

I just want to be happy,
I just want this all to go away.
I want people to stop judging me,
In life, I wish I had a say.

Thanks for the comment on my poem. 5/5
