Well, I came here with the intentions on seeing what poet could possibly have stolen my name and country. haha jk. (I'm a Steph too)... But I was drawn into reading this. I won't give any critique however, because this is not just a poem. This is emotion. And I believe it is best untouched. Leave it as you wrote it, becuase that's you felt it at the time - perhaps still feel it now. No matter what anyone says, promise me you'll keep it?
It's a great write. I'm sure, somewhere, your baby knows how much you love and miss her.
I lost my baby nephew in 2004, and I still wonder how much different it would be if he had gotten the chance to see his first birthday...Second, third and fourth birthday. He'd be so big now. :).
