Into the waves

by mel   Nov 24, 2007

They were young and in love,
Under the stars they would hold hands
Giggles and laughter filled their hearts,
happinesse and love shone in their eyes
A love so strong would come of them

One beautiful night they spent at the beach,
At the beach the air was cold, cold as ice
She wanted a shell for her necklace
He only wanted to make her smile,
so into the waves he went, never to return

Pain and sadness broke her heart
The swoosh of the ocean the waves scarred her memory,
Weeks passed; lonelinesss and sadness filled her eyes

She would walk along the beach, with sand between her toes,
she looked out at the oceanand saw the most gorgeous shell,
She then knew that her tears would be consoled,
her heart would heal and that he was gone in peace.

The smile he had been waiting for.
