Walking Across the Desert

by Johnnys Medicine   Nov 26, 2007

Life flowing with love
On that long road
Going high up into the sky
Where no one turns old
Where life is peaceful
Where no one can die.

But is all of it just a dream
A myth
Lost in a sea of lies
Where all truth jumps over a bottomless cliff
Where it burns into hate
Where no one can hear the cries.

The man walks in the desert
With blood on the highway
Where there’s everlasting death and decay
Where no one lives
Where everyone is old.

The man is lost
Lost I memory
Of that one, single, person
That person he needs to see
That person who was taken away
Without this person he feels he has nothin'.

All that he lives for now
Is to see that old road
Going way up into the sky
Where no one turns old
Where life is peaceful
Where no one can die.
