The Walk

We walked through the park
it was a magical time
when we were friends
and he said, for all of time

His hand touched me
and I felt so blessed
this one for sure
won't hurt me, i guess

I let him know
that I cared for him too
and he said to me
that I love you too

Then one day he wrote
and for no reason at all
our friendship was a mistake
and I meant nothing at all

I sit all confused
and I don't know what to say
maybe he had a reason
for running away

My heart is so heavy
in pain everyday
how could someone just
want to throw it away

My hope is someday
he will change his mind
my heart still hurts
and will for all of time
