Christmas Eve

by Taylor   Dec 24, 2007

Baby, it's Christmas Eve
And before, all I wanted was you
You were the one that made me believe
That dreams could actually come true
Tomorrow will be Christmas, and I can't wait
For the special feeling and the moment to come
Hopefully I don't wake up too late
And the memories of my past come undone
This is a magical time of the year
When families come together to join hearts
Everyone is happy and no one sheds a tear
Except tears of joy, and no one feels apart

Just a few hours until our dreams turn real
Of candy and presents, and love that is shared
Our wounds physically and emotionally start to heal
And the moments that we had showed we cared
I'll never forget the day, the soft words you spoke
And the wonderful memories made, wouldn't be traded for nothing at all
It bring tears to my eyes to remember when I felt like my heart broke
And it hurts to bad to know you let me fall
I'll push everything to the back of my head
And celebrate the beautiful new year
Let's hope this is a good year when no one is dead
Time to drop your things and bring everyone here

So this is Christmas Eve, what a beautiful day
There's no snow where I live, and that's a shame
The sun is shining bright with so many things to say
I think I'll pull through though, there's no one to blame
Come together and all should gather hands
No words of burdens or sins, just joyful love
Minds are read and people begin to understand
And whispers are heard from Heaven above
Tomorrow will be great, and I'll be so happy
It doesn't matter what I get, but I don't want to miss this
When I come home tonight, I'll have myself a good "nappy"
And when I wake up tomorrow morning, it'll be Christmas
