High Above

by Dillon Perkins   Dec 24, 2007

The pearly glow in your eyes show,
that the heavens above aren't far away.
In my dreams you're all I see,
I can't even breathe when you're in the room.
You know you feel it too.
I wish I could steal away the pain,
won't you stay? I just can't look away.
In this haze of the most somber days,
you're my brightest ray of hope.
So please don't leave me feeling this way.
I can't cry away the pain,
I can't stop myself from calling your name.
I feel like im going insane,
It seems like your tatooed into my brain.
So when I lay my head to sleep,
the insomnia runs deep.
I don't even dare speak,
who could even compete?
You're one in a million,
I feel so high.
Above the clouds,
up into the sky.
You shine like a star,
but glow like the sun.
And together we could overcome...
