Hopeful

by FenderGrl   Dec 29, 2007

You said you'd think of me and never leave,
through the dreadful and gracious of days--
I couldnt believe.

I kept all of your letters in a folder
I wont part with them or shake them off..
I ask myself as I get older,
if i'll ever blank out and set you off.

November was the month of your day and I can remember,
I wonder what undergoes in you now in December...
And you're in everyone I see, and everything I do,
I pick up my phone, wishfully thinking it was you...

And I read your letter,
whenever the sound of nothing became my bitterness,
locust words that bear in my mind forever...
When I hear that song,
when I see that place-- it has died.
You're all I can think about-- in my dreams you abide.

Did you know I kept all of your pictures
to tame my soul through the night?
Did you know there's a spot in my heart of darkeness
hoping for a light?

You said you'd think of me and never leave,
through the dreadful and gracious of days--
I want to believe.
