Water Without

by Jordan W   Dec 31, 2007

What is water without fish?
Just another embodiment of matter,
An embodiment with no purpose.
Without the fish the water is empty and lifeless,
And has no reason to exist.
You are the fish and I the water and without you,
My existence is hollow,
I love you with the capacity of the oceans
I love you and you’ll never know how much I truly do,
Just like the depthless bottoms of the ocean floor.
The crashing of the waves on the shore is my voice,
Telling you how much I love you.
The glimmer of sunlight off of the water is that twinkle in my eye,
That will be there for as long as I love you.
And just as the ocean tides change for the fish,
I’ll change for you,
I’ll change because for you I’ll do anything
