A friend is always near

To help you through good times and bad

To lend a friendly ear

To be the rock you lean on

When the road just seems too long

To be the strength you need

When you're not feeling strong

To be one that listens

When no one else is there

To be the one who shares the good times

One who will always care

Being a friend is a special job

Worthy of pride

Today, tomorrow, forever
