Forever Separate

My soul mate is but words on a screen
Delivered through the world wide web

I've never heard your voice
yet it haunts my every waking dream

I've never touched your hand
yet it holds my heart so tenderly

I've never looked into your eyes
yet they are before me when I close mine

I've never held you close
yet you enfold me completely

You live a world away
but are with me every moment I'm awake

We will never meet
But have shared tears and laughter

We have never kissed
Yet I've tasted your lips a thousand times

You are my dearest friend
and will be throughout the years

Our lives are ever the same
but changed forever

My second love is one I'll only see on line
but I will cherish every moment we share

Thank you my dearest
I can say no more.

    Thank you all..

    To those who have said keep it up I have to offer an apology. The words in that writing came from a place I didn't know existed and I am no writer. I really have no idea if I'll ever be able to tap that source again.
