First Kiss

by Taylor   Jan 4, 2008

My hands were shaking through out the whole day
Every time he asked me I didn't know what to say
My heart was beating so fast when I saw him
Then the moment stopped and everything went dim
"There are teachers around" I always said
And every time we hugged, I felt lifted from the dead

In lunch he kept putting his arm around me
I tried to keep a straight face, hiding the glee
He defended me when another guy tried flirting
He threatened him that in a moment he'd be hurting
And his smile makes me want to melt inside
Though every time the question came up, I wanted to hide

Then when we were walking outside, to our buses
I saw all the other kids talking to their crushes
It was time to go, so then I had to say goodbye
And at that second, I saw the look in his eyes
He leaned in forward, and I was so scared I was going to miss
But today was the day I finally had my first kiss
