Heartbreaking games

by coverd in darkness   Jan 7, 2008

I knew you're past,
Of relationships full of lies,
When you told me it would be different,
That you had changed,
I began to believe you,
The more i did that more i fell in love with you,
Should of known better than that,
You got caught out and i got told,
This time i was not the other girl,
But the one you were hurting,
The one who's heart you broke,
Did you think she wouldn't tell me,
When i was the one to tell her about,
The games you played on here,
When i was the other girl,
Here i was believing maybe you'd grown up,
Trusting you while i knew your ex wanted you back,
Believing you when you said,
You'd gone to the pub to get away from her,
When you were doing anything but,
Glad i had a friend there,
One who knew of our secret so called love,
Now i know the truth,
It's burning me in two,
Yet here i am stupidly,
Still finding myself with you,
Trust might not be what it was,
But can't stand to lose,
Keep believing you'll change,
For love is a journey,
Full of heart breaking games.
