Mother Nature's Daughters

by Taylor   Jan 8, 2008

Earth, the oldest of the four
Trees and flowers start to wilt when she can't take anymore
With hair the color of soft green, and a dress made of woven bark
She controls the forest, and stops the evil sparks
When she feels she's about to go crazy, she hits the ground
Which causes an earthquake, and it roams all around
The Grand Canyon was caused when she almost lost her life
She rescued a wolf that was threatened with a knife
The most gentle, and calm, she has the kindest heart
And she will never let her love fall apart

Wind, controls the sky and all its insides
When she's feeling down she finds a rain cloud and hides
Though at the point where she's about to blow
She whirls around and causes a tornado
When her tears dry up, the skies turn gray
She glances down at the people below, then looks away
She can be worse than a hurricane, still staying with the flow
As her energy builds, she sways to and fro
Her mind is pure, with all good thoughts
And she turns the skies bright blue with all the kindness brought

Water, the smartest of all four daughters
She controls the ocean, technically all the waters
She's the one, who when she gets really mad
All the sea around her starts to get bad
Here comes the flood, she's in control
With purity in her heart, and steam in her soul
When she's about to scream, she makes everything a blur
And with one finger, the rivers, she starts to stir
Her baby blue hair, with a dress made of the sea
She's such a wonderful sight, and a leader to be

Fire, the most furious of them all
She'll stand her ground when she's about to fall
She causes explosions and fires all around
And yet she still refuses to hit the ground
Impatient, but beautiful, she is, that girl
She won't take crap from anyone, because she controls her own world
A heart made of flames, with a mind not like any else
Her eyes burn with passion, even when she's by herself
Long, fiery hair, with dark blue jeans, she's kind of a tomboy
Though she won't let anyone maker her their toy

Take this as a complement but I feel small compared to this poem. It might be because it was done with emotion and passion, but you also did a wonderful job making it unique and mysterious
