Heart-strings

by Lenny   Jan 9, 2008

Sometimes at night
She thinks of him
When the moon and the stars
Seem to dispel dreams and petals,
Her thoughts turn
To moments they have shared

Sometimes, alone
He thinks of her
Staring out to blue seas
Skies and her face
Comes to his mind and
He smiles,
Remembering fondly the moments
They have shared

Sometimes these moments
Occur at the same time
And without knowing it
They are connected through these moments
In kindling thought of one another
Bound by beams
Heart-string to heart-string

Future brings the inevitable, and they meet again
Conscious of the moment this time
Smile, beam to beam
And as he watches her walk away
He wonders if she thinks of him

And she smiles a knowing
That he still thinks of her.

    I love it.
Great and original love poem, excellently written. You created vivid imagery and whole piece is truly fantastic. I like the topic and idea for the poem. Whole piece holds elegant beauty and greatly expressed feelings. I like the ending, it rounds up the whole piece in a good way.

    Keep up!
