Her Plight

by Salwa   Jan 13, 2008

Her head became sore,
Her heart felt weak.
As she went to lie down,
Her hell began in her sleep

She awoke in the hospital,
Unsure if what went wrong.
She couldn't think clearly,
Her precious life...No longer a song.

Each day was a struggle,
Each moment a strife.
And then it had hit her,
He didn't know what happened to his future wife.

Oh how she longed to tell him,
How her life became bad.
She could feel in her soul,
That this mans own heart was filled with sad.

While laying in that hospital,
Each day she thought of him.
Took that strength and worked hard,
So she would walk again.

The day came to be,
That she was to go home.
Her family crying tears of joy,
Her heart cried in silence...alone.

She knew that her love for him,
Hadn't gone away.
But who could she have call him,
Her father would have felt betrayed.

She mustered up all that she could,
To go and find this great man.
She needed him to know she was alive,
Her love to him was a delicate flower held by his hand.

She went on to read all his words to her,
And silently she wept.
How awful she was feeling inside,
For all his love to her...he still kept.

She left him a message,
Declaring her faith to his heart.
But its her own father she was fearing,
Would he want us apart?

It was to be that they found each other again,
The two of them able to talk, laugh and cry.
She kept saying she was sorry for not contacting him,
He said, my sweet...I understand why.

He began with "I Love You"
I want no other in my life.
These last three months clearly made me see,
I want you as my wife.

And as this love story continues to grow,
She gets stronger with each passing day.
They pray to above for guidance,
The two will become one...with Allah showing them the way.
