Its Gone

by Happy For Once   Jan 14, 2008

Laying there on the couch
that seemed to swallow us
i felt surrounded by his love
by his compassion
his arms wrapped tightly around me
as if i would float away if he was to let go
laying there on the couch
looking into his eyes
i seen a look of accomplishment
a look of fulfillment
but this accomplishment
this compassion
is here no more
for now there is only betrayal and isolation
surrounding me
i wake in the middle of the night
to the sound of wind
that seems furious
i can only think of him
i can only think of what we had
but he is gone and what we had
is only a memory
trying to get over him
is like climbing mount Everest
its hard but not impossible
i will get over him
i will move on
life is not meant to be spent dwelling
on what we had
or what we want
but its meant to be spent
in happiness with the one that we love the ones that wont leave us!
