Scars

by Gabriella   Jan 17, 2008

After awhile words start to disintegrate, and all that's left is scars marking the time.
don't worry, he said. it'll be with you forever.
lies spinning all around you.
you need to be honest, he explained.
terrible dreams become reality. harsh, bitter and cold.
this could turn into something more, he said.
please, please. extinguish this fire.
write everything down, look back. look back at the loneliness.
the paper bag with the bottle is gone, empty. forever.
my words with you in them are gone. burnt to ash. all that's left is scars marking the time.
