This Pain

It's intense, this pain I feel inside,
Many are the nights I've cried,
Wishing you were by my side.

All because of the words I left unsaid,
The silence from which you fled,
And now, each lonely dawn I dread.

I've come to terms that you don't care,
Contacting me, you just don't dare,
This feeling, I simply cannot bear.

So leave me if you must,
But my heart to you, I thrust,
Because what we had, wasn't just lust.

Take my heart, please obey,
