Rugged land

by rachael   Jan 18, 2008

Rugged land

Awe and wonderment
Fill my entire being
Intricate sharpened blades
Surreal shades of deepest green
Air whistling past in a breeze
Ghosts of the day gone
Depths of the skies unfathomable
Upon a seamless horizon
Softest petals, sweet as honey
As delicate as snowflakes upon
Her gentle eyelashes
Vast expanse of glittering sapphires
Stretches to the dappled streams
Sunlight, dancing over the waters
Fences and tracks etched into the land
Alongside sweeping plains and carved valleys
