Mirage

by Neil Marsden   Jan 18, 2008

Alight across the crowded bar room,
Through the suffocating air.
There she lazed whilst all around her,
Awed the vision seated there.

How they dreamed that they were waiting,
For her familiar voice to be,
The sound that wakened them from slumber,
To talk with for eternity.

How they wished their wives home waiting,
Shared the rich seductive style.
Of this perfect, flawless beauty
With the all-inviting smile.

Neil Graham Marsden.
