For My Children

by Neil Marsden   Jan 18, 2008

Until a kiss such as this will arouse you,
When my sweet birds will launch from the nest.
I will tenderly drown you in laughter,
And love way beyond any test.

Until time weighs its heavy advances,
When your face hints the passage of days,
I will hold you so tight in loves kingdom,
Adored in ten million ways.

Until love in a new fangled framework,
Will tempt you away from my sight.
I will share in the warmth of your breathing,
As I blanket you warm through each night.

Until life with its strange hidden message,
Takes you silently out of my view.
I will wonder just what then replaces,
This beautiful journey with you.
