So Close, Yet So Far Away

by Jordan W   Jan 21, 2008

And now they've locked her away
Hidden her behind iron bars
For me to see and hear
But to never touch
They've taken the joy from my life
They've stolen the hope from my eyes
My spirit dwindles day by day
Slowly shrivelling for without her
Life is such a paler shade of existence
Everything seems to be grey
Everything seems to have lost its vigour
I drift through an endless see of injustice
So I shall save myself from this nightmare
I shall wait for her
Wait silently on the other side of the gate
Hand in hand with the reaper
Waiting and longing
For our eternal embrace
