A dream

by Cheech   Jan 21, 2008

I once sought after a dream
During a colorful spring
When the flowers bloomed
When hope was not doomed.
It shone every morning so bright
Through my window until night
It filled every corner of my soul
Growing pointless to control.
The road less traveled by most
Certainly does have a cost
Like peace traded for war
at the end rests its reward.
But even stars turn to dust
As the dawn becomes dusk
Every second continues counting
Always fearless, always daunting
And even seas drown in grief
Finding no answers or relief
For a question buried alive
Deliberately willing to die.
The well of imagination seized
Consumed every trace of peace
It left nothing but empty space
A dream turned into disgrace

*rate if you will* =)
