Detroit

by Emily Bryan   Jan 28, 2008

This is a place I will never forget.
It gave me a feeling that I could not relive.

I fell in true love for the first time ever.
I got my heart broken and its still hard to endeavor.

I finished a whole year of school here;
I could not say that for any other year.

I loved it at first, but love grew to hate.
I couldnt go back because it was too late.

I lost a dad but gained a great family,
And I wouldnt give them up for any past memorie.

College is coming soon and I cant wait
To leave this town that I have become to hate.

Though it gave me things that I will not give back,
I hope those things this town can lack.
